Christchurch International Airport Parking

They have several choices available if you require mobility parking at CHC airport. Please present your mobility parking permit and notice that usual parking fees apply.

Mobility parking spaces are available as you leave The Loop on the left for pick-ups and drop-offs. There is a 10-minute grace period for drivers helping passengers get to or from the airport. If you have a parking placard for people with disabilities, please use it.

Undercover, designated mobility parking spaces are located on the ground floor of the Express Park building, which is only 100 meters from the terminal.

A few mobility parking spots can be found at the Short Stay lot, only 200 meters from the terminal. There are plenty of accessible parking spots at the Long Stay lot, which is only 400 meters from the terminal. There are a lot of accessible parking spots in the Orchard Road garage, which is only 600 meters from the terminal.

Disable Parking at Christchurch Airport

The airport offers disabled parking for the convenience of our customers. Accessible parking spaces are available at all public car parks, including the terminal forecourt and car park.

Customers with a valid disabled parking permit can access these designated bays free of charge for an unlimited period. To use this service, display your pass in your vehicle before entering the airport grounds.

Express Parking at Christchurch Airport

The 90-minute parking spots on the ground floor of Express Park provide quick and straightforward access to the terminal. Parking garages are available on the ground floor, levels 1 and 2.

Parking is accessible on both the covered and uncovered third floor. The ground level also has reserved spots available anytime for people with mobility issues. Parking fees are the norm, though.

Express Park has a 2.2m height restriction.

Orchard Road Car Parking at Christchurch Airport

Free for 30 minutes. A short walk from the airport terminal, with 30 minutes of free parking, it’s ideal for pick-ups and drop-offs. EV charging stations are available here. Mobility parks are open with no time restriction. However, standard parking charges apply.

Park and Ride at Christchurch Airport

Cost-free use of the airport shuttle. It's the cheapest choice, and a free electric shuttle runs every 10 minutes. Spaces without a roof. Shuttle service is not yet accessible for people using wheelchairs. Parking garage with bus service: The shuttle stops within the parking garage.

The airport may be reached in less than a minute on foot. Parking is free and open, and it's only a short walk to the terminal. There is no time limit on the use of the mobility parking spots. Parking fees are the norm, though.

It is about 5 minutes on foot to the terminal. Uncovered parking, just a short walk to the airport terminal. Mobility parks are available with no time restriction. However, standard parking charges apply.

Free Covered Parking at Christchurch Airport

Bicycles and motorcycles are allowed to park for free at the airport. The Express Park building's ground level features sheltered parking for motorcycles and bicycles. To enter, drive around the barrier arm.

Express Park has two electric bike charging stations, one of which is conveniently positioned at the bike racks on the first floor.

Parking Payment Options at Christchurch Airport

All parking entrances and exits will now accept payment via PayWave, eliminating the need to pull over and get a ticket. Tap or insert your card at the barrier to enter or leave.

To enter and exit the parking lot, the barrier arm will raise and lower itself upon recognizing your license plate if you have made online parking reservations in advance. Credit cards, Eftpos, and PayWave, are accepted at all cash dispensers. Locations of our parking lot payment kiosks:
