Trains to and from Auckland Airport (AKL)

Auckland Airport and the city core are not connected by train. Regarding costs, you can ride any form of public transportation in Auckland for a lower fare if you have a special card called AT HOP.

Airporter Bus Line No. 380, which connects to Papatoetoe Train Station, runs from Auckland Airport to the City Center. It runs seven days a week, at intervals of every 15-20 minutes.

Bus: To travel to the Papatoetoe Train Station, you must first board a bus at either the international or domestic terminals. Usually, the trip takes 20 minutes.

Bus fare: NZ$1.95, one-way; NZ$3.50 without AT HOP card.

Train: Travel to the city's core on the Southern, Eastern, or Onehunga rail lines and board at the Britomart Transport Center. It will take 36 minutes to get there.

Since the departure is the same from Britomart and Onehunga stations, you can board a train there and arrive at Papatoetoe Station. The 380 Airporter Bus will then be required to transport you to the domestic or international terminal.

Train fare: NZ$4.90 one-way, NZ$7.50 without AT HOP card.

The prices above are all subject to change at any time without notice.
